Job Summary

The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting to fill a vacancy for an Account Clerk II position in the Retirement Reporting Services department of the Business Services Division. The Retirement Reporting position will calculate and audit payroll information related to CalPERS and CalSTRS reporting. This position is full-time and will offer the classified support benefits package. Under general supervision, the Account Clerk II performs a variety of technical accounting-clerical tasks of average difficulty involved in maintaining, compiling, verifying financial, payroll, payment or statistical records, and auditing financial transactions for compliance with applicable codes, laws, and regulations.

This position requires a combination of education and experience equivalent to two years of:

  • College-level coursework in basic accounting, bookkeeping or closely related field; and/or,
  • Accounting/bookkeeping experience.
  • Previous experience in PeopleSoft and MS Excel strongly preferred.
