About Small School Districts' Association (SSDA): The Small School Districts' Association (SSDA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and advocating for small and rural school districts across the state of California. SSDA strives to ensure that small districts have access to the resources, expertise, and representation they need to provide high-quality education to their students. With a commitment to equity and excellence, SSDA collaborates with its member districts to address the unique challenges they face and promote the best interests of small school communities. About CS4NorCal: CS4NorCal is a 5-year regional research and innovation project sponsored by the SSDA to create K-12 computer science pathways in small rural schools in 6 northern California counties: Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Plumas, Shasta and Siskiyou. Through 2024-2025, CS4NorCal is an opportunity for education leaders from county offices of education, districts and schools to investigate and design implementation models to integrate the 2018 state CS standards into their educational programs and provide students with access to one of the core subjects of a “well-rounded” education. Job Summary
The Bret Harte Union High School District is seeking a proven educational leader to be Superintendent and to assume duties on July 1, 2022. The district provides a quality educational program for more than 600 students in grades 9-12 at one site. It is a basic aid district with an annual operating budget of approximately $10,000,000. The district ensures a safe school environment and is committed to quality education, providing modern facilities and a variety of academic and co-curricular offerings. All students are allowed equal access and opportunities in the district’s academic, educational support programs, services and activities. The district has an excellent staff of teachers, administrators, and classified personnel–all of whom are very student-oriented.

- Appropriate California Administrative Credential
- A Master’s degree
- Successful 3-5 years as a High School Principal preferred
- Successful experience as a Superintendent with a minimum of 5 years experience preferred
