About the Employer

Oak Grove School District has a total student enrollment of approximately 8,690 from grades TK-8. There are 15 elementary schools and 3 intermediate schools. Six out of seventeen schools receive Title I funds. Schools range from the highest student enrollment (730) to the lowest student enrollment (269). The percentage of English Learners is 29% representing 56 languages spoken in the district. Oak Grove School District’s focus is driven by the LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan) and school site-specific SPSA (Single Plan for Student Achievement) which identifies short, intermediate, and long-term goals. First and foremost in all activities is the safety of students as well as student success in the areas of math and reading/language arts interwoven with science, social studies and visual and performing arts. Student performance goals have been integrated into the state and federal accountability systems. Annually, the LCAP and SPSA's are updated with our students, staff and various community groups in keeping with our core values, the vision, and the annual goals. The District is located in the southeastern corner of San Jose, California bounded by Capitol Expressway to the north, Canoas Creek to the west, Bernal Road to the south and the foothills to the east. DESCRIPTION OF BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Under the direction of the Director of Information Technology, provide technical assistance to district employees in the use of computers, district standard software applications, computer peripherals, and network information resources; troubleshoot and resolve basic technical problems. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -Technical Certifications: Comptia A+ or Comptia N+ -Tech Support Experience Preferred
