Job Summary

Paraed. Acad. Intervention Job Summary: Under the direction of the Site Administrator, reinforce instruction to individual or small groups of students in a classroom or assigned learning environment; tutor students in specific areas of reading intervention, language, math and possibly in conjunction with a computer-based tutorial program; assist in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of lesson plans; perform routine clerical and supportive tasks for instructional personnel. Program Coordinator Job Summary: Works independently under general supervision of the site principal or department director, within a broad framework of standard policies and procedures, to organize and implement the daily program and operations of the ASES program. Provides leadership and builds a team to support the program’s vision for participants.

- Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and two years experience working with children in an educational or organized learning environment. College coursework in psychology, recreation, child growth and development and education may be substituted for experience. - Requirements specified under Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Special qualifications supported by Title I funds include: o Completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education or, o Obtained an associate’s or higher degree (college level) or, o Take and pass the Paraeducator test that is offered at the district office.
