THE POSITION: Under the direction of a principal, assists, tutors, and trains students in a Special Education classroom or similar learning situation; performs a variety of supportive duties for teachers and school; some positions in this class involve taking care of personal hygiene of students; and does related work as required. Some lifting of students involved in the process may be required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school. Demonstrated successful experience working with children in a learning situation, preferably with children with learning problems particularly where flexibility, patience, and sensitivity are required.
