Finance and Accounting *Assist with all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements to ensure timeliness of reconciliations & closing of books on a monthly and annual basis. *Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets, and actual expenditures. *Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information, including preparing special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. *Coordinate interim and year-end financial audit, 403(b), and 990 reporting by preparing for annual audit schedules and submissions and act as the primary point-of-contact for auditor requests. *Assist with all financial, project/program accounting; ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned with program budgets throughout the fund period. *Work collaboratively with HR to process payroll and related journal entries in a timely and accurate manner. *Oversee the organization’s accounts payable and receivable process. *Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to operations. Personal qualities of integrity and professional work ethic *AA or BA Preferred *1-2 Years of experience in accounting or payroll *Technology savvy with experience selecting and overseeing software installations and managing relationships with software vendors; advanced knowledge of accounting and reporting software *Keen analytic, organization, and problem-solving skills allow for strategic data interpretation versus simple reporting *Ability and desire to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels, including finance and non-finance managers *Maintain the security and confidentiality of specified records and information
