Under the direction of the Director of Student Support Services to provide remedial programs and instructional activities to students with speech and language disorders.

1. Must hold a California credential authorizing service as a Remedial Speech Specialist, i.e., the Exceptional Child-Speech Hearing Credential, Standard Credential with specialization in the Speech and Hearing Service, Restricted Speech Hearing Credential, Clinical Services, Rehabilitation Credential. 2. Must hold a Baccalaureate Degree with a major or specialized training in speech-language; a Master's Degree in speech pathology or a closely related field is highly desirable. 3. Must have successfully completed a practicum in speech and language, or one year of full-time successful experience as a remedial speech specialist. Applicants who have demonstrated knowledge and experience with programs designed to improve educational opportunities for minority pupils will be given preference. ***Please note that we will also consider candidates that are enrolled in a speech pathology program and eligible for a credential waiver.
