1. Must hold a California credential authorizing service as a Remedial Speech Specialist, i.e., the Exceptional Child-Speech Hearing Credential, Standard Credential with specialization in the Speech and Hearing Service, Restricted Speech Hearing Credential, Clinical Services, Rehabilitation Credential. 2. Must hold a Baccalaureate Degree with a major or specialized training in speech-language; a Master's Degree in speech pathology or a closely related field is highly desirable. 3. Must have successfully completed a practicum in speech and language, or one year of full-time successful experience as a remedial speech specialist. Applicants who have demonstrated knowledge and experience with programs designed to improve educational opportunities for minority pupils will be given preference. ***Please note that we will also consider candidates that are enrolled in a speech pathology program and eligible for a credential waiver.

          We offer a very competitive salary schedule for our Speech Language Pathologists and offer up to 10 years of service credit for prior experience! Castaic Union School District offers a $5,000 signing bonus for fully credentialed, full time Speech-Language Pathologists to be paid out over the first 2 years of employment. We also offer a Master's Stipend, a Special Education Stipend, and Longevity Stipends! We also offer a $1,000 signing bonus per year to those who are in a speech pathology credential program and are issued a variable term waiver by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing while working for the District. Upon completion of the credential program, the speech pathologist is then eligible for the remainder of the signing bonus. These bonuses are pro-rated for partial year employment.
