On call Substitute Teacher for classroom grades TK-12.

Job Description / Essential Elements:    Print   
The substitute is responsible for the conduct of the class and is responsible for the full schedule of the regular teacher which includes, class schedule(s), yard duty, and any special duties performed by the absent teacher. Substitutes are expected to follow the plans of the teacher as closely as possible. Substitutes shall: a) leave a report of work done in the plan book for the regular teacher, especially if lesson plans have been altered; b) maintain normal classroom discipline procedures; c) in cases of serious discipline procedures, contact the Principal; d) leave adequate notes regarding absences, transfers, new students, etc. e) maintain regular classroom routines; f) REFRAIN FROM USING CORPORAL PUNISHMENT OF ANY KIND; g) leave the classroom as neat as possible at the end of the day with things approximately in the same place in which they were found; h) check with the school secretary for additional supplies as needed and for daily attendance reporting procedures; i) lock classrooms whenever the teacher and children are out of the room and never give a student your keys.

          Willingness to teach all grades (TK-12) Upon Selection: Fingerprint Clearance Required TB Clearance Required COVID-19 VACCINATION In order to best protect students and staff, the California Department of Public Health (CDHP) issued a new public health order on August 11, 2021 requiring all school employees to either show proof of full vaccination or be tested at least once per week. The new policy for school employees, which includes, classified, certificated, management, substitutes, exempt employees, walk-on coaches, and all volunteers, took effect August 12, 2021. Schools must be in full compliance by October 15, 2021. All schools identified in this order must verify vaccine status of all workers and volunteers. Schools must have a plan in place for tracking verified worker and volunteer vaccination status. Records of vaccination verification must be made available, upon request, to the local health jurisdiction for purposes of case investigation. Workers or volunteers who are not fully vaccinated, or for whom vaccine status is unknown or documentation is not provided, must be considered unvaccinated. Pursuant to the CDPH Guidance for Vaccine Records Guidelines & Standards, only the following modes may be used as proof of vaccination: 1. COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card (issued by the Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control & Prevention or WHO Yellow card) which includes name of person vaccinated, type of vaccine provided and date last dose administered); OR 2. A photo of a vaccination Record Card as a separate document; OR 3. A photo of the client’s Vaccination Record Card stored on a phone or electronic device. OR 4. Documentation of COVID-19 vaccination from a health care provider; OR 5. Digital record that includes a QR code that when scanned by a SMART Health Card reader displays to the reader client name, date of birth, vaccine dates and vaccine type. ALL APPLICATIONS MUST HAVE ATTACHED DOCUMENTATION TO MOVE FORWARD IN THE APPLICATION PROCESS
