Requirements / Qualifications
Pursuant to the State Public Health Officer Order of August 11, 2021 affecting all tk-12 public and private school employees, all El Dorado County Office of Education employees and substitutes are required to either provide evidence of COVID-19 vaccination or participate in weekly COVID-19 testing. Charter University Prep and Charter Connections Academy Programs are seeking a dynamic, flexible, and innovative Spanish teacher who can build relationships with students and families, and collaborate to provide high quality, personalized education for our students. Charter University Prep and Charter Connections Academy Programs are charter public schools under the El Dorado County Office of Education. Our schools serve students 7th - 12th grade and operate on a hybrid schedule with students attending on campus two days a week and completing work at home 3 days a week. Class sizes are small and families are involved and supportive. Our goal is to prepare students for university education and vocations after high school. Requirements / Qualifications Characteristics - California Single Subject in Spanish - Effective and dynamic instructor with a willingness to embrace innovation - Enjoy working collaboratively with a team - Communicate and work in conjunction with parents on supporting student’s academic progress - Creative and innovative with designing curriculum and content - Familiar with using technology as a tool in the learning environment - Experience with the Learning Management System Canvas or other LMS - Ability to scaffold language instruction - Previous hybrid learning or independent study experience desired - Additional credentials or qualification to teach other elective classes preferred
