THE POSITION: Under general direction, this position is responsible for facilitating, managing, and providing activities that expand upon the content of the regular school day for elementary and middle school students; may direct the activities of other Extended School Program personnel. This classification is assigned to a work schedule consistent with the operation of the Extended School Program, which may differ from the regular school district calendar and work schedule. Approx. hours would be 6 am to 8 am and/or 2 pm to 6 pm. Hours vary based on positions that are open.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination equivalent to: [1] graduation from high school; supplemented by six college semester units in child development, physical education, recreation or closely related subjects; [2] having twelve (12) college semester units or the securing of an additional six (6) college semester units in recreation, physical education, child development, or other related field within twelve (12) months of employment in this classification; [3] at least six (6) months of demonstrated experience working with school-aged children.
