About the Employer

We are a unified school district serving more than 16,150 students in grades K -12. We have thirteen elementary schools, four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, three specialized high schools, two alternative high schools and one K-8 school. We also offer a home schooling program, adult education courses and other unique programs to fit the needs of all students. Our school district employs approximately 1,100 certificated and nearly 900 classified employees. Antioch Unified School District is centrally located in the East Bay and provides ready access to scenic mountains, waterfronts, wine country, historical sites and the Pacific Ocean. HEALTHCARE ASSISTANTS & LICENSED VOCATIONAL NURSES (LVN) TEMPORARY SHIFTS AVAILABLE MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 4 hours per day - 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. (NASAL COVID-19 RAPID TESTING SITES) 4, 5, 6, 6.5, 7.75 hours per day – During the School Day between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. (STUDENT CARE) Substitute Hourly Salary: HCA $20.88 & LVN $22.48 per hour This recruitment is for temporary substitute / at will employment. This recruitment is NOT for the use of an eligibility list to employ permanent employees. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & LICENSES: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school or equivalent, supplemented by college-level course work in nursing or related field and two years related health care experience. Appointment to Health Care Assistant – LVN, (Range 127) is upon qualifications and a current vacancy. Possession of a valid California license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN), valid California driver’s license, and a valid First Aid/CPR certification.
