On Call Substitute Teacher Position. Sub rates are temporary and effective October 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022 only. $220 daily rate. $250 daily rate beginning the 11th day of one consecutive assignment.

Official transcripts will be required to apply for a Substitute Permit when hired.

All employees must be cleared through the Department of Justice prior to employment. Substitute Teachers who do not already hold a credential must qualify for a substitute teacher permit with the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Madera Unified will assist you in applying for a substitute permit. To qualify for an Emergency 30 Day Substitute Permit, you must provide: Official transcripts showing the conferral of a baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Basic skills requirement. If you do not have a Bachelor's Degree, to qualify for an Emergency Substitute Teaching Permit For Prospective Teachers, you must provide: Official transcripts showing completion of a minimum of 90 semester units of course work from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university. Verification of current enrollment in a regionally-accredited four-year California college or university. This may be verified by an original letter from the registrar of the office of admissions, or official transcripts showing current work-in-progress. Satisfy the basic skills requirement.
