Coordinates mental health programs to ensure compliance with federal Performance Standards; acts as a resource to director, service area plan team staff, teachers, parents and students involved in the Head Start Program.

Position typically requires a High School diploma and post-secondary curriculum in sociology, child development or child psychology and one year of experience in community relations or social services dealing with groups of various backgrounds is required. It is highly desirable to be bilingual, Spanish. Desired: Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work or Psychology and be licensed to arrange for and supervise Mental Health Support (I.E. Interns, Volunteers, etc) In order for application to be complete, all sections of the Edjoin application must be completed, including three reference contacts.
