Under direction, to provide basic health services to students; to assist in the planning and implementation of school health programs in cooperation with medical authority and school administrative personnel; to evaluate the health status of students and the health service program; to provide instruction in health practices, first aid, child care, and other related subjects; to serve as a resource pertaining to student health management strategies, and welfare and attendance problems and concerns; and to do other related functions as required.

Under direction, to provide basic health services to students; to assist in the planning and implementation of school health programs in cooperation with medical authority and school administrative personnel; to evaluate the health status of students and the health service program; to provide instruction in health practices, first aid, child care, and other related subjects; to serve as a resource pertaining to student health management strategies, and welfare and attendance problems and concerns; and to do other related functions as required. EXPERIENCE: ~ Two years of successful public school nursing experience. CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT: ~ Possession of a valid School Nurse Services credential or Preliminary School Nurse Services credential or eligible for credential. Possession of a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License. -If not fully credentialed, candidate must be willing to enroll in a credential program to qualify for a short-term staff permit; or must be enrolled in a credential program and be eligible for an internship credential and have the following: -Official transcripts showing a baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university. - A photocopy of a valid Registered Nurse License issued by the State of California.
