Job Summary

Job Summary

Plans, directs, and coordinates a comprehensive human resources management program for certificated and classified employees. Plans, organizes and directs the activities of Human Resources for the District, County Office of Education, and staff, administering relevant sections of the Education Code dealing with classified and certificated staff. Activities include but are not limited to coordination and collaboration with Director of Classified Personnel concerning merit rules and regulations and classified staff. Plan, implement, direct and maintain the district’s personnel services; serving as a resource, and maintaining staffing to ensure that personnel functions conform to district, state and federal requirements.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in human resources management, behavioral science, business administration, public administration or related educational field and 4 years of progressive experience in management of a human resources functional area. Administrative Services Credential is desirable as well as a Master’s degree is desirable and may substitute for some experience.
