The Extended Day Care (EDC or Extension) Aide is responsible to the EDC Director to oversee the students in our care before and/or after school. While the EDC program is an extension of our school day, it is intended to be a more relaxed but well supervised program. Primary Responsibilities: Supervision of outside and indoor play time; assist with craft activities. Good communication skills with children and parents. We play games, listen to stories, enjoy theme days, do our homework, and are respectful of each other since EDC cares for students from ages 4 – 14 years old (grades TK-8). The Aides ensure the students’ safety and kind behavior in the Extension room and on the playground. We will train aides in the area of problem solving and communication with children of these ages. All Extension staff will support our St. Rose School Mission, implement the school rules and policies, and adhere to the directives set forth by the Extension Director and School Principal. Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:40-8:00am, 8:00am-12:00pm, 2:30am-6:00pm. and Friday minimum days, 12:00am – 6:00pm [Flexibility in hours based on enrollment] This is an ideal position for a college student who is able to be flexible with the necessary hours. The Extension Director is willing to work with college student class hours.
