The Position The Alvord Unified School District (AUSD) is seeking a forward-thinking leader to serve as the district’s next Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services. Located in the western portion of the City of Riverside and the eastern portion of the City of Corona, the district serves 20,000 TK-12 students across 23 campuses. Leadership Attributes Successful candidates must demonstrate a track record of success in the following areas: • Developing active and inclusive partnerships across multiple groups. • Building/sustaining relationships that foster a culture of trust and integrity. • Maintaining high expectations and equitable learning opportunities for all. • A mindset that promotes continuous improvement. • Pursuit of multiple opportunities for exploration and creativity. • Development/delivery of professional development that promotes quality teaching and learning. • Supporting learning experiences that promote a high quality of life Education/Experience/Certification • Minimum of five (5) years of responsible administrative/school leadership experience • Three or more years as a successful site principal • Strong working knowledge of 21st century teaching and learning practices • Parallel career experience in an educational setting similar to AUSD • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university • Doctoral degree is highly desirable • California Administrative Services Credential authorizing service at the Assistant Superintendent level • Valid California Driver’s License • Must be insurable at standard rates and maintain such insurability during the course of employment SALARY $172,672 - $203,299, Placement on the salary schedule is dependent upon experience. $1500 doctoral stipend
