Help us prepare our students for a successful life! We are seeking an Itinerant Independence Facilitator (IIF) to join our Behavior Support team for the 2023-2024 school year! The IIF will have the opportunity to work with students who have specialized needs. The successful candidate will use strategies acquired through training to help students with special needs achieve independence. The IIF implements behavioral management strategies, takes data, composes correspondence, and maintains records. Previous experience working with school-age children and training/experience with Autism, behavior management, conflict resolution, and physical restraint techniques are preferred although not required. This position boasts an ideal schedule that is based on student and department needs but generally runs from 8:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with a 30-minute meal break for 193 days per year. This includes all school and holiday breaks off, as well as earned holiday pay, vacation, and sick leave accrual. Two years of college (48 units), OR b. A. A. degree (or higher), OR c. Pass a local (County Office of Education) assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction.
