Requirements / Qualifications

The California Montessori Project is a public K-8 charter school network using research-based Montessori pedagogy in providing academic choice for families at our 7 schools in the greater Sacramento area and Shingle Springs, CA. CMP is currently establishing a list of highly qualified substitute teachers to support our regular teaching team throughout the school year. Substitute teachers must possess a California State Teaching Credential or 30-Day Emergency Substitute Teaching Permit. Information on teacher credentialing is available at www.ctc.ca.gov. Serving as a substitute teacher is a great way to learn more about public Montessori education and become better acquainted with our school and staff. Additionally, any long term substitute teachers who may be needed throughout the year are usually hired from our daily substitute teacher pool. Applicants must complete an on-line application. Required documents must be scanned and attached to the Ed-join application. Candidates with Montessori training and/or experience, are encouraged to reference this information in your EdJoin profile for easy search and identification by our screeners.
