Through the freedom of choice, children are constantly engaged in intellectual activity. Our curriculum is aligned with the California State Standards and includes basic skills as well as such areas as botany, zoology, practical life and sensorial skills. The California Montessori Project is a public K-8 charter school network using research-based Montessori pedagogy in providing academic choice for families at our 7 schools in the greater Sacramento area and Shingle Springs, CA. CMP is currently establishing a list of highly qualified substitute teachers to support our regular teaching team throughout the school year. Substitute teachers must possess a California State Teaching Credential or 30-Day Emergency Substitute Teaching Permit. Information on teacher credentialing is available at www.ctc.ca.gov. Serving as a substitute teacher is a great way to learn more about public Montessori education and become better acquainted with our school and staff. Additionally, any long term substitute teachers who may be needed throughout the year are usually hired from our daily substitute teacher pool. Applicants must complete an on-line application. Required documents must be scanned and attached to the Ed-join application.
