This permit is intended for substitute candidates who have not yet completed a BA/BS, but who meet the eligibility criteria below. Prospective Substitute Teaching Permit * 90 semester units completed/accepted from an accredited university (with verification of current enrollment) AND * Passing status of CBEST/CSET/or Submit proof of meeting one of the following Basic Skills Requirements (CL-667) https://www.ctc.ca.gov/credentials/leaflets/basic-skills-requirement-(cl-667) ~Pass CBEST ~Qualifying Score on SAT (500 Reading & 550 or higher Math) or ACT (22 English & 23 Math) ~Qualifying Score on CSU Early Assessment Program ~Qualifying scores of 3 or high on AP English and AP calculus College Board Exams. ~Pass Basic Exam from another state ~Meet basic skills requirement by course work (reading, writing and math) ~Pass Multiple Subject CSET Plus Writing Skills Exam Your application must indicate how you meet the basic skills criteria. Please include it in your Letter of Intent and attach proof. Your application will be automatically disqualified if your application is incomplete. PLEASE attach a current resume and anything you feel that is important for us to review.
