Job Description / Essential Elements:    Print

TLC Child and Family Services, home to Journey Academy, is a leading agency in Northern California where different is beautiful.

Journey Academy is a non-public high school located in Sebastopol, California, on a 5 acre campus. Our dedicated team works with vulnerable teens who are bright and capable, but struggling to find their place in the world. Since 1975, our goal has been to help our students expand their capacities to cope in the real world, to grow academically, and to find confidence in the unique expression of who they are. Therefore, our classes have no more than 12 students allowing for individualized instruction and highly-personal interactions.

TLC’s additional thriving programs offer a continuum of evidence-based treatment and relationship-focused care to youth and families. We provide comprehensive quality mental health services, foster care and adoption services, residential treatment, special education services and transition age youth housing. Our team is enthusiastic and dedicated to providing healthy, healing environments and experiences for foster and other youth and their families, in which their differences are leveraged, valued, and celebrated.
