Job Summary

Position Summary  We are looking for a compassionate, exceptional educator to join our entire Caliber team! You’ll work collaboratively with both school sites, and the School Support Organization (SSO) in order to support students who are in our Independent Studies program. You will be encouraged and supported to live out our four pillars: Heart, Smart, Think, and Act. You will use and analyze data, assess student learning to ensure that each child reaches their goals in our independent study program. This is a part time or full time position for the 21-22 school year.  Responsibilities Facilitate office hours each day for all students who are in long term independent studies Support short term independent studies by being the liaison between the teacher, student, and family Communicate regularly with students, families, and third party vendors regarding the progress of the students in independent studies Support with engaging students in being present in Independent Studies classes daily Oversee, track, and support with attendance Provide and support re-engagement strategies and interventions based on a three- tiered support model/ process  Communicate effectively and respectfully with students, families, and colleagues. Attend and participate in student IEP meetings and 504 plans as needed Approach professional development with commitment and reflection. Fulfill other professional obligations as needed with enthusiasm, commitment, and flexibility. Qualifications Experience: 2 or more years of teaching experience, preferably in a high performing school driving excellent student outcomes. Experience working with diverse student populations.  Preferred experience with social-emotional learning and restorative practices. Experience integrating technology into the virtual classroom. Experience with Distance Learning and providing virtual instruction. Education: Bachelor’s Degree Valid California State Teaching Credential or equival
