SUBSTITUTE - Child Development Associate Teacher - PRYDE program Requires at least 12 units of ECE college credits. Plans and implements developmentally appropriate activity based curriculum to support children’s needs as determined through the “Desired Results” process. Creates a room environment that invites children to explore, create, discuss, and share. Participates with other staff in planning regular parent education meetings based on families’ needs. Responsible for maintenance of student records. Supervises aides, parents, and other volunteers working in the classroom. Other relate duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent; Completion (with passing grades) 12 semester units, including “core” coarse work (or equivalent quarter units) in Early Childhood Education at an accredited or approved college/university; At least 150 hours of teaching in a licensed day care center or comparable group child care program. In addition, the Lead Position requires 3 semester units (or equivalent quarter units) of the 12 units required in minimum requirements, shall be in administration or staff relations.
