The California Montessori Project is a public K-8 charter program using research-based Montessori pedagogy in providing academic choice for families in the greater Sacramento area and Shingle Springs, CA. Lead teachers are required to possess a California State Teaching Credential, NCLB certification through subject matter competency, and CLAD/ELL authorization. Lead teachers must also possess a Montessori teacher certificate for the grades they will be teaching and verifiable Montessori classroom teaching experience, OR be willing to enroll in Montessori training concurrently with employment.
