Job Summary

The Program Administrator of Guidance is responsible to the Assistant Superintendent, Instruction and Student Support for the coordination and implementation of the elementary, middle and high school guidance programs. The Program Administrator will assist with implementing Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) including student discipline, cyberbullying, social emotional learning, and GLAD (Guidance and Learning to Avoid Drugs); coordinate and support implementation of effective, cohesive counseling/guidance programs; facilitate planning and organizing curriculum as needed; coordinate and assist as necessary in appropriate in-service training and parent workshops; monitor program effectiveness; assist professional and paraprofessional personnel in PBIS strategies; attend local, county and state meetings as necessary; and supervise and assist in the evaluation of elementary counselors.

QUALIFICATIONS • At least three years of successful experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred • Master’s Degree and possession of a Pupil Personnel Services Credential highly desirable • Possession of a California Administrative Services Credential or qualify for Administrative Credential • Letter of intent • Current resume • Three letters of recommendation Copies of Credentials

A successful candidate must be in possession of, or qualify for, a valid California Administrative Credential authorizing service as an administrator in a K-12 district and a pupil personnel services school counseling credential is highly desirable; have experience working with counseling programs; possess skills and ability to work with a wide variety of audiences; present clear and concise written and verbal communications; and possess strong inter-personal skills. Candidates must possess a valid California driver’s license and must be insurable by the district’s carrier.
