Job Summary

Saint James School is a thriving Transitional Kindergarten – 8th grade Catholic school located in Davis, California. St. James is currently seeking to employ a full-time first grade teacher. Candidate should be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing, hold a current CA teaching credential, and be able to demonstrate competency in all areas of content responsibility including classroom management, computer literacy, standardized testing, and interpreting data. The teacher is entrusted directly with the spiritual and academic preparation of students, fostering knowledge, skills, and understanding the necessity of post-secondary education. The teacher is further entrusted with the students’ social and personal development, providing guidance and example that promote Christian values, responsible behavior, and self-fulfillment. The teacher performs this trust in cooperation with the parents, who are the primary educators of their children, with the assistance of support staff and under the direction of the school’s administration. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
