Job Summary

Working independently under the general direction of the Tutor/Mentor Coordinator and with guidance by designated site management and/or certificated staff, the Student Learning Aide II will work with homeless youth, foster youth, schools/districts, colleges/universities, shelters, and service providers to ensure that youth have opportunities for educational success. The Student Learning Aide II assists development and implementation of school and other student learning activities and experiences, including organizing and conducting lessons, tutoring, program activities and events, and monitoring of students. The Student Learning Aide II will be responsible for conducting outreach to students and making appropriate referrals for support services. Attendance at multidisciplinary team meetings may be required. The Student Learning Aide II will provide training and technical assistance to school and agency staff as requested.
