HCSCA Salary Schedule Step: 23 $16.42 an hr., (5 Steps), 5 hours per day, five (5) days a week, 178 workdays. PERS Retirement. Horizon Charter Schools (HCS), a California Public School, serves students in Placer, Nevada, El Dorado, Yuba & Sutter Counties. As a public school, HCS charges NO tuition or fees. Our personalized learning approach targets students’ interest, abilities and aptitudes. From Kindergarten to 12th grades, HCS provides each student with comprehensive quality learning choices and educational pathways. Parents and students partner with highly qualifies credentialed teachers in home-based/independent study programs, as well as academies, cooperatives, and Montessori options.
