The ABC Unified School District is known throughout the State of California as a leader in educational planning and innovation. QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of a Special Education Credential Possession of a CA Administrative Credential Valid authorization in one of the following: Learning Handicapped, Severely Handicapped, Education Specialist-Mild/Moderate, Education Specialist- Moderate/Severe, Clinical Rehabilitative Services, Speech, Language and Hearing or Standard Restricted Special Education Teaching Credential Master’s Degree, preferably in curriculum, administration or a closely related field Three or more years of teaching experience Three or more years of successful experience in an administrative position, preferably including experience as a site principal in an urban setting REQUIREMENTS: 5 years successful experience as a special education teacher or like experience (i.e. school psychologist, & speech pathologist) RESPONSIBILITIES: This person shall have significant responsibilities for administering district special education programs and maintaining policies related to special education. This person will also provide expertise and support in the area of special education administration to site principals, teachers, support staff, and parents.
