MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: • Successfully support students with a wide range of needs including, instructional, behavioral and life skill needs; • Ability to implement teacher planned activities that support planned goals and objectives; • Implement positive behavior techniques; • Perform simple clerical work; • Participate in training and meetings; • Computer Technology and/or assistive technology knowledge; • Ability to manipulate wheel chairs and orthopedic devices; • Ability to assist with toileting and feeding as needed, does not apply to all positions; • Ability to lift and position disabled adults.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Ability to work effectively with families, professionals, and diverse cultures; • Flexibility to adapt to a variety of instructional settings; • Experience in the area of Autism; • 48 college units or AA degree; • Bilingual desired but not required.
