The Palo Alto Unified School District is looking for individuals that have an interest in driving a school bus. No experience is necessary. The District will provide no cost training to a selected group to receive necessary school bus driver training. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a clean DMV driving record. Individuals with experience working with children and/or who have commercial driving experience will be given priority. A commercial license is not required at this time. A selected number of applicants will receive an invitation to orientation on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 9a.m. This meeting will be an introduction to the training requirements and an informal interview. If chosen to continue with the program, applicants must be available for classroom training daily beginning Monday, August 16th through Friday, August 27th from 9am to 3pm.
