19 hours per week Tutors facilitate group interaction by asking questions Support students' in meeting A-G requirements Improve students' proficiency in critical skills and Standards Develop students' academic language proficiency and disciplinary literacy Develop student agency as future college and career individuals Engage students in collaborative inquiry and reasoning

Requirements / Qualifications

One letter of recommendation High School Diploma Provide proof of enrollment in two-or four-year college/university

Background checks and fingerprinting required Once hired, Academic Tutors are required to complete a series of tutor training modules for Tutor AVID Certification
