TOSA (Teacher on Special Assignment) - FACILITATOR, SPECIAL EDUCATION
QUALIFICATIONS
A valid California Special Education credential with CLAD/BCLAD and NCLB Compliance. Master’s degree preferred; three years of experience in the area of Special Education.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent, Special Education, the TOSA (Teacher on Special Assignment), Facilitator, Special Education, has advanced training in the education of individuals with exceptional needs and specialized knowledge of the programmatic needs of the physically handicapped, learning handicapped, severely handicapped or autistic student. In addition, this person may have training in early childhood education, Workability, assistive technology, or behavior interventions. Special Education Facilitators assist special education teachers and related service providers in planning and conducting instruction with exceptional needs.
