We also have preschools co-located at our six elementary sites. We have various theme based schools: Montessori, Immersion (Spanish and Mandarin), and STEM. San Mateo-Foster City School District is seeking a Para-Educator I Middle School Library Assistant. 6.5 hrs/day (7:45am-3:15pm) @ Abbott Middle School Salary: $17.65 per hour 10 paid sick days 14 paid holidays Definition: To assist a librarian in the instruction, supervision, and training of individual or groups of students in library skills by performing a variety of instructional support activities; to perform a variety of duties involving circulation, reference, and record keeping activities within the library; and to act as a resource person regarding materials available. Employees in this classification receive close supervision within a framework of well-defined policies and procedures. Positions in this class assist in the day-to-day operations of a middle school library. This job class requires a high degree of positive contact with assigned students and staff. Employees in this job class coordinate and monitor the work of students and/or volunteer aides. Please apply on line through edjoin.org and attach a copy of your high school diploma.
