Job Summary

MAJOR RESPONSIBITIES: • Provide support and direction for Differentiated Assistance and Comprehensive/Targeted support to districts; • Works directly with district leadership teams and schools to identify resources and current best practices that will help schools address Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, specifically-Tier 1 and Tier 2 supports; • Works directly with school leadership teams, instructional and clinical staff to analyze data to effectively provide Targeted Intervention Support including: Truancy, Chronic Absenteeism, Suspension, and Academic Supports to increase student engagement and achievement; • Development and monitoring of student intervention plan utilizing an integrated data and assessment system. • Use of data (multiple measures) to identify areas of strength and need for instruction and behavior implementation of Multi-Tiered instruction and intervention services and resources; • Delivery of professional development as needed/requested to build teacher capacity to address Tier 1 and Tier 2 interventions and academic supports within an MTSS framework, problem-solving model, analysis of data, differentiated instruction and strategies, and progress monitoring; • Design, implement and support ongoing staff development in the use of assessment data to drive instructional decisions. Assist school level teams in establishing decision-making rules for determining when students need interventions (strategic and targeted), identifying student needs, developing intervention plans, and implementing appropriate interventions and promoting collaborative team processes; • Coordination of GCOE services such as: SARB, Youth Development, SEL, Foster Youth and Homeless initiatives; • Other Educational Services initiatives, duties, and programs as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Clear CA Teaching Credential; • Advanced Degree in Education; • CA Administrative Credential or ability to attain clear credential within 3 years of employment; • Possess strong, written and oral skill; • Self-initiative to start and complete assigned projects and self-directed projects; • Clear understanding of Universal Design for Learning, Response to Intervention and Multi-Tier System of Support; • Proven experience as an administrator, professional development trainer and coach; • Adept in using current instructional technology applications and equipment.
