Education and Experience: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and three years journey-level automotive or diesel maintenance and repair. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid unrestricted California driver’s license with appropriate passenger and air brake endorsements. Valid First Aid and CPR certificates issued by an authorized agency. Valid School Bus Certificate Valid CNG Tank Inspection Certificate *Willing to provide certification class for qualified applicants who currently do not possess the School Bus Certificate. JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Transportation/Operations/Facilities Supervisor, perform journey-level mechanical work in the inspection, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of buses including gasoline, diesel and alternative-powered vehicles; drive a school bus along a designated route as assigned; perform required inspections of school buses.
