About the Employer

The Southern Humboldt Joint Unified School District crosses two counties, Mendocino and Humboldt, in the heart of the redwoods, extending from remote, mountain areas, to the Eel and Mattole River valleys, to Kings Range and out to the Lost Coast of the Pacific Ocean. The Southern Humboldt Unified School District wishes to announce a probationary opening for a Career Technical Education (CTE) Special Project Technician at South Fork High School. The position will be 8 hours per day, 5 days per week.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. • Ability to speak effectively in the course of assigned duties. • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percents and to draw and interpret bar graphs. • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. • Ability to use independent judgment and discretion. • Completion of 12th grade or equivalent with courses in office practices. • Ability to attend CPR and First Aid training
