Job Summary

District English Language Teacher on Special Assignment PCN# New position Under the direction of the District English Language (EL) Coordinator, support the implementation of the District English Learner Master Plan and the vertical alignment of English Learner Services. Conduct on-going training with model lessons, coaching, and follow-up support using effective practices and strategies for English Learners. Works with teachers in schools not meeting AMAO for English Learners to analyze student learning outcomes and next steps for instruction. Support parent education with the ELAC and DELAC meetings. Provides training institutes during non-teaching times such as summer, spring break, winter break, and after school hours and during the school day on identified strategies, stills, and instructional models.
