Valid CA Single Subject/Secondary, Multiple Subject/Elementary, Special Education Credentials or Substitute Teaching Permit or PPS credential (with CBEST). Candidates with bachelor degree and who have met the Basic Skills requirement may apply through the employer for a Substitute Teaching Permit. For more information on meeting the basic skill requirement, please visit ctc.ca.gov. All applications must be submitted online via Edjoin.org. Applications are reviewed by Human Resources and eligible candidates are invited to attend a future orientation. Invitations are sent via email along with a list of "What to Bring to the Orientation". Applicants who do not hold a valid CA credential, may apply for the Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit provided a bachelors degree is held and they meet the basic skills requirements. Candidates may be eligible for a one year waiver for the basic skills requirements. Applying for a 30-Day Sub Permit is done during orientation.
