Job Summary
The job of Health Technician is done for the purpose/s of assisting School Nurse in providing appropriate care and/or referral for ill, medically fragile and/or injured students as may be required; carrying out health screening in accordance with State laws and District policies; and providing clerical support in addressing the health needs of students.

The Health Technician assists the School Nurse in providing appropriate care for students and providing clerical support regarding the health needs of students. REQUIREMENTS: Health or Medical Job related experience required. Knowledge of office procedures; First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate. High School Graduate or equivalent supplemented with Community College or vocational courses in related area. VALID CALIFORNIA LVN or LPN DESIRED but not required. Passing score must be achieved on a written exam.

Positions will be based in the West End of Morongo Unified School District serving schools in the Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley, and Morongo Valley area.
