A strong emphasis is placed on the Catholic faith and its growth in our students and the students’ progress toward achievement of the Schoolwide Learning Expectations. Completion of the California State and Common Core standards for English/Language Arts in grades 6-7-8 drives the curriculum. The 8th grade students are prepared to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. The teacher is entrusted with the students’ social and personal growth, providing the example and guidance that promote the school’s mission. The teacher performs this trust in cooperation with the parents, who are the primary educators of their children, with the assistance of support staff, and under the direction of the school’s administration. The St. Rose School was established in 1661 and currently employs 30+ faculty and staff with an enrollment, Transitional Kindergarten - 8th grade, of 280 students. Class size ranges between 30-35 students per class, one classroom per grade level.
