Job Summary

The Regional Elementary Program Specialist, Riverside, Inyo Mono and San Bernardino (RIMS) Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Program, provides support to Elementary school teachers and administrators involved in the implementation, development, and/or expansion of AVID systems in the RIMS region; coordinates regional activities with the RIMS AVID team and works collaboratively with departments in the Education Support Services Branch.

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Possession of a valid California teaching credential; • Five (5) years of experience teaching at the elementary school level; • Two (2) years of experience teaching/administering AVID at the elementary level. • Completed AVID Elementary Foundations training.
