The successful teacher candidate will have a valid California Multiple Subjects credential, will be NCLB-compliant and English Language Learner certified at the time of hire.
In addition, the successful candidate:
Will be fluent in the reading, writing and speaking of the French language;
Will have understanding of French history and culture, as well as the history and cultures of other French-speaking countries;
Will be willing to teach extended day kindergarten;
Will be willing to assist with the planning and development of the dual immersion program (including curriculum development and community outreach);
Will collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning;
Will have knowledge of early childhood education.

GUSD is seeking dynamic instructional leaders who: • Are fluent in French speaking, reading and writing • Exhibit strong pedagogical skills • Have an understanding of culture and history of French-speakers • Have breadth of experience in educational technology • Exhibit instruction with a 21st Century perspective • Partners with parents and community members in student learning GUSD requires applicants hold a valid California Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential and must hold a BCLAD-French or similar authorization for instruction to English Learners.
