Under the direction of the Director-Maintenance, Operations & Transportation and Supervisor-Custodial, Grounds & Maintenance, ?perform a wide variety of skilled and specialized work in an assigned trade area involving the maintenance, installation and repair of District buildings, equipment and related structures such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, locksmithing, painting and general mechanical maintenance work as assigned; ?perform assigned trade work in conformance with applicable District, building, safety and safety codes and regulations. Plumber: Perform skilled plumbing work in the installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing fixtures and systems including toilets, sinks, water heaters and boilers to maintain plumbing lines in safe and sanitary working condition; assure compliance with building codes applicable to the plumbing trade. Install, maintain and repair valves, control devices, pumps, toilets, heaters, boilers, pipes, clocks, relays, faucets and various other fixtures, parts and equipment; rebuild and replace faucets, valves,? ?thermostats, and damper motors on boilers as needed; replace leaking and defective parts in plumbing fixtures and systems. Unplug or clear drains and lines connected with plumbing fixtures;? ?install, test and maintain backflow devices. Repair or replace water, gas and sewer lines, steam and hot water heating systems.

Comments and Other Information
Training and Experience: Completion of 12th grade or equivalent. At least 3 years of experience at a journeyman level in one or more of the required areas. Coursework and/or formal training is desirable. First review of applications will be April 20, 2021.
