About the Employer
With schools dating back to the 1870s, the award-winning Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) is now the 16th largest school district in California. RUSD educates nearly 42,000 students across 50 schools in Riverside. The District serves a large portion of Riverside as well as the unincorporated areas of Highgrove and Woodcrest. RUSD is led by its 12th Superintendent, Ms. Renee Hill and is governed by a Board of Education comprised of publicly elected officials who serve five different trustee areas.

If you have not take the CBEST, another option meeting the Basic Skills Requirement is taken courses in the following: Reading, Writing and Math courses with a grade letter B or above) per Commission on Teacher Credentialing. ~Copy of 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit or Credential *RUSD RETIRED TEACHERS- Email Jewel Bundy, Substitute Teacher Desk/Credential Technician at jbundy@riversideunified.org before completing Edjoin application for the process
If you do not have a 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit, RUSD will assist you with the process of obtaining the 30 Day Permit.
