SUMMARY The Behavior Specialist will collect data, provide instruction on behavioral interventions and/or related services to individuals or groups; supports staff in assigned classrooms; and works under the direction of the Behavior Department Supervisor who holds ultimate responsibility for the outcomes of the behavior program. The Behavior Specialist will often serve in the role of trainer, liaison, and co-supervisor in applied behavior analysis and other evidence-based approaches. Working in a non-traditional school setting, the Behavior Interventionist will support individuals with a variety of diagnoses and qualifying disabilities including Emotional Disturbance, Autism, OHI, Intellectual Disability, and have knowledge of behavioral considerations for students with trauma history. Behavior Interventionist will follow protocol and programming set forth by Supervisor/BCBA and may be assigned to support training/supervision for 1:1 clients or group formats. Supervision toward BCaBA/BCBA certification available. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
