H6 DMV print out -REQUIRED when applying (printed within 30 days) Valid School Bus Certificate - Type 1 Vehicle *Willing to provide certification class for qualified applicants who currently do not possess the School Bus Certificate. Controlled Substance and Alcohol Testing Program: All persons selected by a hiring supervisor are subject to pre-employment testing, and written verification of participation in prior drug testing programs. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Class B California Motor Vehicle Operator's License; School Bus Driver's Certificate; must be able to be insured and continue to be insurable by the District's liability insurance carrier; education equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade; one year of experience in pupil transportation service or the completion of a school bus driver training program using safe driving practices; knowledge of safe driving practices and procedures; ability to maintain appropriate student behavior on a school bus; learn the proper methods of bus safety inspections and maintenance; handle situations with tact and diplomacy; understand and carry out oral and written directions. * Full Time Equivalent
