Job Summary

Job Summary

The candidate for this position must have an awareness of autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities. This position requires knowledge on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and evidence-based practices appropriate for preschool children, as well as an understanding of social-emotional development in preschool children in addressing challenging behaviors. This position works under the direct supervision of the Behaviorist in the implementation of behavior intervention programs for identified special education students.

Qualifications: • A minimum of high school diploma. AA degree in related field is preferred. • Minimum two years of experience working with students with behavior needs. Experience working in ABA setting is desirable. • Possess and maintain current certification of CPR/First Aid training • Possess and maintain a valid California Driver’s License, automobile insurance and a working vehicle. • Basic computer skills. • Bilingual of English/Spanish preferred, but not required. • Travel between school sites is required, mileage will be compensated per NCOE agreement. • Frequent standing, walking, stooping, running and kneeling. Ability to stand and/or sit on a floor or chair for extended periods of time. Ability to move quickly.
