At VCS, it is critically important that we provide an excellent and equitable education to all students. We are currently accepting applications for an Assistant Director to drive high achievement and growth in our school. The Assistant Director assists in the leadership of the school with particular attention to curriculum and instruction and professional development. Other job duties include student/parent support, and general administrative support and oversight for the school under the direction of and in the absence of the Executive Director. The Assistant Director reports directly to the Executive Director and works closely with the EL Education School Designer who works on-site with teachers and school leaders to provide professional development within a whole school design and combine focused institutes with teacher and administrative coaching and support. The Assistant Director must possess or commit to actively work towards obtaining an Administrative Service Credential within the first 3 years of accepting the position. Ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred.
