St. Ignatius Parish School is located at 3245 Arden Way, Sacramento, CA. The school was established in 1954 and currently employs fifty-seven faculty and staff, with an enrollment Pre-School-8th grade of 421 students. Classroom size ranges from 35-40 students. There will be a full-time aide that will assist the teacher. Completion of the California State and Common Core standards for third grade drives the curriculum. A strong emphasis is placed on the Catholic faith and its growth in our students and the student’s progress towards achievement of the Schoolwide Learning Expectations of: Religious, Loving, Open to Growth, Intellectually Competent, and Committed to Doing Service. The teacher is entrusted directly with the spiritual and academic preparation of students, fostering knowledge, skills, and understanding. The teacher is further entrusted with the student’s social and personal growth, providing guidance and examples that promote our Ignatian values, responsible behavior, and self-fulfillment. The teacher performs this trust in cooperation with the parents, who are the primary educators of their children, with the assistance of support staff and under the direction of the school’s administration.
